Tenant Spotlight: Villara Building Systems

2021 brought a total of 18 new transactions for the McClellan Park leasing team, two of which were new lease agreements with Villara Corporation - a company offering a suite of heating and cooling products and services. An existing tenant of McClellan Park since 2001, Villara entered into two new agreements totaling 84,000 square feet. The expansion will help the company both expand its plumbing division and launch new products. 

Read on for our conversation with Villara – including their secret to a successful 75 years in business! 

Question: What types of services does Villara provide – and who are the typical customers?

Villara: Villara works with builders and homeowners throughout Northern California to provide high-level, dependable service. We complete installations and service of HVAC, plumbing, solar and battery systems in a multitude of arenas. We have a wide variety of customers whose focuses range from master-planned communities of single-family homes and clubhouses, to multi-family apartments and commercial buildings. 

When and why did the company decide to operate out of McClellan Park?

Villara has been operating out of the McClellan Park location since 2001. As the business expanded and we outgrew our previous space, McClellan Park became the perfect spot for our corporate headquarters location. 

How has Villara expanded over the years? 

Villara originated almost 75 years ago as a sheet metal company, and even underwent a name change in 2015 from Beutler to Villara. Over the years, we have adapted to continue filling the needs of the construction industry. In 2008, we added our plumbing and solar department, and we expanded once again in 2021 to begin offering batteries. 

Our R&D department continues to innovate systems that will benefit both our customers and the industry as a whole. We most recently released our VillaGrid battery, which allows homeowners to store the solar energy they collect to use during peak times or power outages. In fact, VillaGrid is the most powerful home battery on the market today. 

What are the benefits of doing business in McClellan Park? 

The industrial area of McClellan Park is perfect for the type of production Villara does. Our plant operations are continuously running to facilitate the ongoing processes of fabricating sheet metal and plumbing parts, maintaining our company vehicles, material inventory and fulfillment, and more. Doing business at the McClellan Park location also allows us the space we need for our inbound and outbound deliveries for any projects we’re working on. Additionally, McClellan Park is ideally located for servicing greater Sacramento and its surrounding areas. 

Are there any changes or expansions for Villara planned in 2022?

Villara will be celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2022, and we look forward to continued growth in all of our business segments. We’ll also be utilizing our new manufacturing location for our solar battery, VillaGrid, which is also located in McClellan Park.
