Executive Vice President
Bill Appleton is Executive Vice President of McClellan Jet Services and Sacramento McClellan Airport, with a focus on operations and business development across all aviation verticals.
Mr. Appleton has more than 25 years in aviation and has held various leadership positions within McClellan Jet Services since 2005. He was an integral part of the team that privatized Sacramento McClellan Airport in 2017, making it the nation’s largest privately held, public-use airport.
In addition to leading the continued development of Sacramento McClellan Airport, Mr. Appleton is also responsible for the operations and management of McClellan Jet Services, the Sacramento region’s largest Fixed-Base Operator (FBO).
Mr. Appleton has extensive experience in FBO management and development and specializing in business development and marketing to general aviation, military, and government business.
Mr. Appleton started his aviation career in San Jose at the San Jose International Airport, where he worked as a Line Manager.
Mr. Appleton received his Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from San Jose State University. He is a licensed pilot and active member of the National Business Aviation Association.
